2. Puppet WIP

 Who is she...

step 1: sketch out the desired armature.
step 2: create the armature using wire, balsa wood, and kns. (the kns limbs are used so if a wire snaps from too much use, just that part can be replaced.)
step 3:secure everything with epoxy. add bolts in the feet for tie-downs and a spot to attach a rig in the back with kns.
step 4: I had already done the character design, so now I experimented by sculpting faces out of cernit doll clay.
step 5: make 1 million face tests in many different styles.
step 6: once I found her face, I painted it. (this also involved painting 1 million test faces first, testing different paints, different varnishes, different primers, different methods of sanding, beads for eyes, different color eyes, etc.)
step 7: sculpt the body out of foam
step 8: I decided to dye a t-shirt yellow using iodine and turmeric. (it was a Sunday and all of the art supply stores were closed.)

step 9: sew the skin onto the body
step 10: (very optional, but I wanted to experiment.) create a head out of molding clay, create a silicone mold for it, then pour resin into the mold, leaving me with a super hard, durable, and hollow head. drill a hole in the resin and use epoxy to attach a kns that fits the armature neck.
